Zemba Field Day

Sorry this is a little late...I haven't been able to post anything all week! 

A few days ago we went to the Zemba Family Field Day with Juna and the kids.  The kids got these cool yellow hats and Brax got to move a bunch of dirt with a big tractor.  We then got to take a haywagon ride and rode on some super fast Gators!  We had a blast and look forward to going again next year!

Team Tyler

A high school student from Mamaw's school was diagnosed with cancer this year so the community has been selling "Team Tyler" gear.  Mamaw got the boys their own "Team Tyler" shirts and everyone that knows Mamaw knows she loves photo shoots!!!

Please keep praying with us that God will heal Tyler like he is going to heal our friend Diane!

Mrs. Elson

One of my good friends and fellow first grade teachers Diane has been fighting cancer for almost 3 years.  She has been so strong during her fight and the Frazeysburg staff decided to have a special benefit to show everyone's appreciation and support for her.  The turnout was amazing and the community raised about $15,000!!!  This small town and district can really pull together and give to others and it makes me proud to be a part of such a great place! 

Please continue to pray for healing for  Mrs. Elson.  Her faith in God has grown through this journey and I know she has touched many lives in the process. She is an amazing teacher, mother, colleague and I am honored to call her my friend.

Toys at Mamaw's House

The boys like to go to Mamaw and Papaw's house to play with all of their toys.  Here are a couple of our favorites!

We decided to invite Mamaw and Papaw Brownrigg and Mamaw and Papaw Shipley over to grill out to help celebrate Mother's Day!  It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun visiting :)

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day this year Braxton wanted to make something for all of the special ladies in his life!  I looked online and found some Lemon Hand Scrub that he could make all by himself and he was super excited about it.  He did all of the measuring, pouring and stirring and even decorated their gift bags. 

He was excited when he got to mix it with his hands!

Pokey/Flappy

My friend had an extra caterpillar so she decided to give it to Braxton.  I forgot to take a picture but this is what Pokey looked like when we got him.  (This pic is from my caterpillars at school.)  Brax was so excited to watch him turn into a butterfly! 

Now that pokey looks like this Brax decided he needed a name change.

Phillip Wilson

Our wonderful neighbor Phil painted a picture of Braxton a couple of years ago and gave it to us.  We were excited when he asked us if he could borrow it for his upcoming art show at the John McIntire Library.  We got an invitation to go to his opening reception and check it out. Brax was so proud to show everyone the picture of himself.  He told me later that he is really cool and everyone knows him there.

 knock anyone over so he can run to the door or window and yell at him "Hey Phil"
