LIbrary & Demolition

Today we went to the library to get new books and watch the show.  Then we took our weekly trip to the Dari Dawg for lunch and ice cream.  When we were leaving we noticed a house being torn down behind the building so we walked over to check it out.  The kids were in awe by the demolition....it was pretty cool to see the house being torn down piece by piece.

The kids doing puzzles after picking their books.

Pretty cool to see the walls being torn down.
We also got to watch them tear down the fireplace and chimney!
On the way home Brax was trying to figure out why they would tear the house down.....he decided part of it must have been broken.

"Friendly" Advice

For some reason random strangers must think I am a horrible parent because I keep getting "advice" from these people.  Last week I was at Kroger with Nate and the kids and this lady came up to us because we were standing beside the hot dogs and proceeded to tell us that hot dogs cause leukemia and we should be a specific brand of hot dogs if we don't want to give our kids cancer.  This was the same day one of my other friends got some friendly advice from a random stranger about how she should not put sunscreen on her kids because it causes cancer.

Last night we were at Walmart, again just standing near car seats (not even looking at them) and a lady came up to us and said I don't know if you are buying this kind of car seat but I'm telling you as an EMT those are the worst and unsafe car seats you can buy.  I have picked up a few dead kids that had those car seats.   REALLY LADY!!!!

Dinner

After going to the Wild's we went back to dad's for dinner and to hang out.

We found a turtle on the side of the road that Braxton named Stripey.
He was not a happy camper when we had to let him go :(

Rilee and Hudson sitting in Jordan and I's chairs from when we were little :)

Brax had been excited all day to play with the play dough at Papaw's house!!

We even got to get in the hot tub!  Hudson can say bubbles now....I think it sounds a little like football but he thinks he is saying it anyways.  All 3 of the kids loved doing a little swimming!!

Wilds Zipline Adventure

Today we went zip lining at The Wild's to celebrate father's day.  I was a little nervous but we had a blast once we were there and went down the first line.

Nate, Me, Lisa, Dad, Jordan and Lindsay

Out of the 10 lines this was my favorite one.
You can get going pretty fast and the view is beautiful!!

You can see a giraffe in the distance to the left of the tree

Our crew.....our two guides were Ryan and Joe

Ryan was a little bit of a goofball as you can see in the picture but he made the experience a fun one!

Hanging out with J & E

Jacob and Elaina came to visit for a little bit last night so we had dinner and played for a couple hours.

Braxton ventured out to look at the rabbit dog and started yelling at us that there were bunnies under the dog pen.  Sure enough there were 4 tiny bunnies huddled together.  Braxton was petting them and they didn't mind.  I went ahead and picked one of them up so the other kids could see it.

Hudson kept pointing and trying to grab the bunny

Lyla learned to walk this week so she was scooting around the yard trying to catch up with the older kids

Swim Time

Yesterday we went to the Dresden pool to enjoy the 90 degree weather.  I have two water babies for sure!!  We stayed until about 3:00, I was impressed that Hudson lasted that long without a nap but he was asleep after about 1 minute in the car.

Working on his tan

Kisses

When we got home the boys took a nap and Hudson was really confused when he woke up and Brax was sleeping.
He bent over and gave him a kiss!  What a sweetie!! :)

Hudson's New Word

This week Hudson learned how to say football.  Daddy is so proud! :)

Library Magician

This week the library had a magician , juggler, comedian for the kids to enjoy.  I am proud to say that the 4 kids were on their best behavior and sat and watched the whole show!!!!  Then we went to the famous Dairy Dawg for lunch.  After the show I asked Brax what he thought of the magician and his response was "That guy was just....amazing"  HAHA!!

Maddie rockin the side pony

Hudson sat like this most of the show.....
then he decided he needed a change of scenery so he sat on my lap like this.

They really liked the bulldog puppet

Grillin N Chillin (AKA The Dairy Dawg) got a new decoration.
Who wouldn't want to stop and get ice cream after seeing this!

Softball Fun

Nate had his last sotball game this week and they had a big crowd to cheer them on.  Hudson sat in his stroller the entire first game so I actually got to watch a little bit of the game!  Brax had fun playing with Rilee and Camden.  The guys did a great job and won the league again this year. Nate even hit two homeruns!  Congrats to the Cornerstone softball team for another great year!!

We were hanging out in the car because it started storming a little bit.
Brax is scared to death of storms so it was not a fun.  :(

Dillon Playdate

This week's playdate was at the Dillon playground and kiddie pool.  The kids were really good and they play so well together.
