Conn's Potato Chip Factory

Today we went to the Conn's Potato Chip Factory with some of our friends for a tour.  We had fun learning all about how our favorite potato chips are made!

Hair net time

Our tour guide telling us how chips are stored in this big factory and how the company was started by a lady named Ida.
They all look really interested right?!?!

This machine wraps the boxes of chips that are going to be stored in the warehouse.
She kept teasing the kids telling them she was going to wrap them up.
Brax thought she was serious!

My big helper

Hudson was not a huge fan of the hair net

Here are the potatos at the beginning of the line.  They will be washed and then sliced.

Here is a potato after it goes through the pealer

Wavy potatos after they have been sliced

The line we were looking at was out of order for a few minutes so the kids were looking under to the middle line.

This entire batch of chips was bad :(

Getting us some WARM chips off the belt

Here are some chips being salted

The best part of the tour!!!

Brax being a good big brother and giving Hudson a chip

Lucy, Drew and Hudson enjoying their chips

One great looking group of kids!!

This is a roll of the chip bags before they are filled

The bagging room.
The chips go through the top machines and are seasoned and then they drop down into the tubes and fill the bags.
The ladies that are standing at the bottom put the bags of chips in boxes and then they are rolled out to be put in stacks and then wrapped up with the plastic.

Karlie and Lauren

We even got free bags of chips at the end of the tour!
